The countdown until the flight date has begun and already I am feeling nerves. It's silly really. It's not like this competition is any different from the things I already do, but I'm doing it on a much more visible scale. I also get highly competitive and I worry that I'll push too hard. I'm worried that I'll be disappointed if I cheat. I'm worried I will not give it 100%. I'm worried that my 100% isn't good enough. I'm worried that I'll still be on this plateau forever. I'm worried that I'm not good enough. I'm worried that I'll hate the competition and it'll make me hate working out.
But really it's me doubting myself--nothing more. I love the gym. I love working out. I love the feeling I get from eating right. I love how the weightloss makes me feel. I love being an inspiration for others and being inspired by those around me. I need to learn to let these nerves go and just enjoy a little friendly competition.
Today's prep work is a lot of reading. Mainly on scales and what kind I'm going to get. I know I need one for food prep. I'm also researching cardio still. I rarely rarely do cardio and I think cardio + diet prep is going to make a huge difference.
I'm also working on prepping for classes, which start right after the competition starts! I'll be teaching 3 classes--and taking 2 AND doing comps, which means I'll really need to have my schedule down to a routine. Basically January 2015 is organize my life month!
